CONTRIBUTING TO REGIONAL RESOLUTIONS
RESOLUTIONS
ON YOUTH,
PEACE AND,
SECURITY.
CyprusInno actively participates in regional consultations such the Youth, Peace, and Security European Regional Consultation in Brussels.
The consultations are part of a global effort to bolster action on UN Security Council Resolutions 2250 and 2419 that calls for a greater role for young people in strengthening peace and security, with a mandate to carry out a progress study on the youth’s positive contribution to peace processes and conflict resolution, in order to recommend effective responses at local, national, regional and international levels.
CyprusInno's participation in the consultation involved the role of business, entrepreneurship, and innovation with youth for regional security and prosperity, and using social and economic entrepreneurship to bring divided communities together, as well as investing in inter-communal entrepreneurship. Our recommendations were adopted as part of the consultation's resolutions.
